winget autoupdate

We have hosted the application winget autoupdate in order to run this application in our online workstations with Wine or directly.

Quick description about winget autoupdate:

Winget-AutoUpdate (WAU) is a tool that automates updating of applications installed via the Windows Package Manager (winget). It runs in system and user contexts (so it can update system-scope and user-scope apps), can notify users of updates, supports allowlists and blocklists of apps, allows scheduling of update runs, custom mod scripts (pre / post install etc.), has GUI settings and log management. It is intended for home users, administrators, and organisations.

Features:

• Automatically checks for and installs updates for winget applications on a schedule (daily, bi-daily, weekly, etc.)
• Allows excluding apps (blocklist) or explicitly only updating certain apps (allowlist)
• Notification levels configurable (e.g. full notifications, only on errors, or none)
• Mod scripts / modifications before/after install or upgrade for apps (using “Mods folder”)
• Can run in system context so that even machine-scope apps get updated, not just user-installed ones
• Supports configuration of log file rotation (size, number), install directory, scheduled task triggers etc.
