oscopepy

We have hosted the application oscopepy in order to run this application in our online workstations with Wine or directly.

Quick description about oscopepy:

Oscilloscope using PC sound card and Python 3. Linux utilities amixer, aplay and arecord are used to set the sound card controls, generate and capture audio.
Numpy is used for data manipulation and tkinter for the GUI and 'scope display.
Originally this project was about using the sound card to emulate an oscilloscope. Now I've realized that it's real strength is capturing low level signals and then using tools like the FFT for making measurements. ALSA is a major pain to deal with and the GUI in this project makes it much simpler to deal with it terms of setting gains, selecting inputs, etc. The oscilloscope display is useful for checking input signals and verifying proper capture.
A lot remains to be done, but the current incarnation is still quite useful.
